Overview

Vá-sdozt Xluwuf was founded durring the early 12th century in summer of the year 1113, by Szazzo. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Vá-sdozt Xluwuf was built using the conventions of Gnoll durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vá-sdozt Xluwuf is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Vá-sdozt Xluwuf is is constructed arround a series of narrow paverstone mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The city is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the city's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Vá-sdozt Xluwuf's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. Vá-sdozt Xluwuf's top tier civilian fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the city as needed.

A quick look in any direction shows Vá-sdozt Xluwuf is filled with vices. There are many taverns, brothels are advertising their services on the streets, cardsharks are plying their illicit trade within public squairs, and every shop has at least three signs advertising various sales on goods. That alone wouldn’t be too noticeable, if it wasn’t just so omnipresent and overwhelmingly how the people of this city live. Or if the general public wasn’t so enthusiastically, openly, and merrily participating in these activities.

It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Vá-sdozt Xluwuf was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Vá-sdozt Xluwuf lost 187 people, 156 livestock, and 69 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 207, when members of Vá-sdozt Xluwuf's militia enacted an operation to train a group of civilians for a special clandestine operation. The operation was complicated by gale force winds which drowned out orders and hampered ranged combat. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in a stalemate for Vá-sdozt Xluwuf's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Vá-sdozt Xluwuf's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
